My wife and I had been living in Arizona for about 2 years renting, and we really wanted to purchase a house but didn’t see how we could. We would drive around, looking at houses and lots for sale just to daydream and talk through the possibility of owning. We felt kind of hopeless, and one day Miranda felt the Holy Spirit tell her we needed to be better stewards with our finances. That’s the day we began to give God control of our money which can be a hard thing, but to be honest, it was one of the best things we ever did. A year later COVID kind of flipped the world upside down but in that uncertainty, God told us it was time to buy our house. It was one of the biggest steps of faith we ever made because it seemed pretty crazy at the time. We started the build of our new house and it took about 9 months from start to finish. We definitely had some days and even weeks where we were stressed, or uncertain but God was always in control! I believe the most beautiful, wondrous, and amazing things come out of steps of faith. Where you have 2 choices, stay where you are, or trust that God has you and He won’t let you fall. The amazing part is, we got to write God’s promises all over the framing and they will forever be in our walls. Just a reminder of his never ending faithfulness! I can say with certainty, our Dad is better than we can imagine and loves us beyond compare.
