I have this young friend in the Gambia. We’ve known each other for about six years. He knows I love Jesus and I know he is a Muslim. Occasionally he has asked me what I would think about converting and I just tell him a little bit about Jesus and what he’s done for me.

Like my friends and Uganda , Gambians are generally quite impoverished. Alagie is one of them. I’ve helped him from time to time, but I have to spread my help out between quite a few people in Uganda.

Last week Alagie really needed some help. It was a pressing and real need. He contacted me, and I told him that I was running low, but that I would pray with him that Jesus would provide. I asked his permission. We prayed, (me in the name of Jesus), and ended the call.

Five minutes past and there was a knock on my door. It was a woman I haven’t seen in a while. She told me that God instructed her to come to my house and deliver some money for my African friends.

Within 15 minutes of praying for my friend I got to tell him what Jesus just did! He was amazed! He got his help right away. This week he is still mentioning that it seems Jesus did this!

I praise God for Alagie’s salvation, coming right up!
