It’s been about a year but I’ve been meaning to write this. My wife’s Dad Tom was battling cancer and was recovering from the treatment. He went into the hospital for a complication to the chemo and ended up on a ventilator in the ICU within a day so we flew out to Colorado as fast as we could. When we got there he wasn’t doing good. We were spending time with him, and praying for a miracle. I didn’t hear an audible voice but in my spirit I heard God say you’re going to get to talk to him again. I was hesitant to share it with my wife Miranda and her family but I knew God wanted me to, so I did. By the miraculous grace of God, Tom at 82 came off the ventilator and we were able to tell him we loved him and he got to say it back. We got to spend a few days talking, laughing and praying with him. A short time later he went home to be with Jesus. It’s always hard to lose someone you love, but it was a miracle that we got to talk to him again against all odds. God is always faithful, especially in the hard times. He is a wonder working God and the best Dad I know.
