So Thankful For The Encouragement Of Friends
This testimony occurred in March, 2025
Over the past few weeks I’ve been trying to get some direction in my life from God and was getting frustrated and discouraged about it. I was starting to get a bit hopeless and God seemed to be silent.
I’m sure now it was the Holy Spirit instigating me to do this, but during this time I decided to randomly reach out to an old friend I used to be close with and haven’t talked to in years. We talked on the phone and didn’t say anything of note in particular but the clear joy we had in hearing each other’s voice and catching up really encouraged me.
It was around this same time that I sent a video message to a friend through an app and his response also really encouraged me and spoke to me in so many ways.
Again, there was another friend I grabbed dinner with during this time and was so encouraged by our conversation and being able to relate about various things we’re going through in life.
Looking back on the few weeks now I can clearly see how God used some friends I’ve had for quite some time to encourage me. It is so true what Proverbs 27:17 says: “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” I’m very thankful for the friends God has placed in my life over the years!

How blessed we are to have special people in our lives! The times we think God may not be listening He is always there even in the silence and He reminds us of that in so many sweet and special ways. Including bringing or reintroducing people into our lives just when we need them most. What a wonderful reminder of this. ❤️
